ABOUT
Hi! I'm Megan. I've had the travel bug for as long as I can remember, but didn't leave the country until I was 18. Since then, I have been to 34 countries. During those years, I also went to college, went back to school for an MBA, bought a home, got married, and now have a full-time career in finance...but I have prioritized travel since I have had the means to do so.

I am not off to a new place every weekend (because, life...), but generally plan 1-2 international trips every year along with a handful of amazing weekend getaways. Most longer trips are 9-12 days (5-8 days off of work), with stops in multiple countries or cities. Of course it would be great to go back and stay longer in my favorite places someday, but I am here to make the most of each trip the best way I can! I have a genuine love of seeing new places and experiencing different cultures - some travel is always better than no travel in my opinion.

I am a Colorado native, and am based in Denver - I'll take mountains over beach any day, and love to hike no matter where I am in the world. I travel with my husband, who is the best travel companion a girl could ask for. A few more things to know about my travel philosophy:

PACKING
I am a strict carry-on only traveler! Once I started, I never looked back. Less weight to carry, and delayed bags are one less thing you have to worry about on those long-haul trips! Check out my luggage and packing tips here.
BUDGET
Although I have traveled on different budgets over the years, my current focus is on creating a streamlined, enjoyable trip. I am willing to pay extra for convenience and comfort, and have learned that this helps to reduce complications, and can also really add to the experience. This is especially important when time is limited!
PHOTOGRAPHY
I have zero experience with photography, and have never used a nice camera. All my travel photos are taken on an iPhone because it is easy to use, light to carry, and allows me to focus on the travel experience. Feel free to judge all my below-average iPhone pics, I'm not changing them :)
TRIP PLANNING
I love to plan and book all of my own travel - it's part of the fun!
